Introduction
Disclaimer: Stellar Dawn has been under development for several years now, so much of the content discussed in this guide may be out-of-date.
This guide speculates about Pliigi, one of the four playable Stellar Dawn Races.All of this speculation is based upon existing Stellar Dawn Concept Art, and therefore may not accurately represent the actual content of Stellar Dawn. Please keep this in mind while reading this Pliigi Guide.
The Pliigi
Pliigi have a strong connection to nature, with all of their buildings and vehicles appearing to be very organic.
Immediately you can begin to see how this Pliigi culture would clash with that of the Humans, who destroy nature in order to build their cities. Perhaps this is what the tension between Pliigi and Humans will be based off of?
All of the Pliigi Buildings depicted in the Concept Art look very natural, and most of them contain Bone, Fungal Awnings or even little Organic Chimneys.
Pliigi Houses
This image shows a number of very interesting Pliigi house designs. The thing that stands out most to me is the Sphincter Doors, which indicate that the Pliigi houses are indeed alive. Very strange.
Pliigi Research Station
Wait... a Research Creature? Does that mean that this Research Creature does all of the Research for you? Those piles of poo surrounding it sure look appealing.
The fact that this Research Creature has a brain is even more intriguing. Will this brain indeed be upgradable as the image suggests? If so, how will you be able to upgrade it? What will the Research be used for? Perhaps this Research will allow you to unlock more weapons, vehicles and/or space ships.
Pliigi Temp. Research Station
This Research Station looks almost pathetic in comparison to the previous one. The Bio Containment Tanks suggest that you will be able to unlock different creatures at the Research Station. What will the Work Benches be used for? Weaponry? Armour? Only time will tell.
Pliigi Market Stall
Judging from this picture, it looks like the Pliigi will specialize in selling organic goods. Of course, this could be just one of many different types of Pliigi Stalls, however it does make sense that Pliigi would specialize in Natural Goods, due to their obvious affinity with nature.
Pliigi Tutorial
This is just one of several concept pictures of something referred to as the 'Pliigi Tutorial Caravan'. This is likely to be where new Pliigi Players are introduced to the Stellar Dawn Universe.
The vast majority of the Pliigi Tutorial Caravan designs all have an Outer Shell, presumably for protection. In addition to this, most of them have something referred to as 'Flesh Pods', or 'Flesh Bulbs'. Perhaps these are where Pliigi are born from?
This concept image indicates that Pliigi learn how to use a Land Vehicle right from the start. The 'Level 0' bit also indicates that you will be able to unlock better vehicles later on, possibly through the Research Station.
