OOC: Sorry guys for the confusion that my short handed typing has caused. For everyone who has "Pke. Environment Watch A", it should really read "Pokemon Environment Watch A". I was being lazy and yeah.. what the actually class is about should be made apparent through my post. Anyways, now that is is cleared up, we can move on to the next order of business. ^^
Kay looked around the classroom at the empty seats. "Hm, four in the back and two in the front. Six possibilities in total," She thought as she walked towards the seating area. She stopped and smiled at a female student when she spotted a brown and cream pokemon underneath her seat. Placing her bag on the desktop, she slid the chair back and sat down.
"I'm Kay. Seems to me that we're both pokemon trainers," she said, smiling at Eevee. No sooner had she said this, the class bell rang and the students started to rush out of the room. The young girl shrugged and stood up. "Looks, like we'll have to finish or rather start this conversation another time."
In the art room, no sooner had the bell rung, Ayame was out of her seat and out the door. She had somehow enjoyed being in art, after all the assignment was basically about her. However, she was ready to get the school day over with as soon as possible. She took out her class list and skimmed down to her seventh hour class.
"Pke. Environment Watch? Why what kind of class is this? Why would I concern myself with a stupid environment watch?"
Sighing to herself, the princess moved about to the outside of the school. Once there, she pretended to not be clueless, as she scouted her surroundings. ”I know I’m in the right place.” she thought to herself as she saw a few other students making their way towards the school.
Lita, having already been fully educated about her next class by a group of fourth year seniors; had already made her way to the outside area of the school. “Wow, this school is huge,” She thought, scanning the stretched out fields. She continued on until she reached a gated off section. On the large door hung a sign that read “IKA Safari Zone”, and next to it was a list of rules.
“This has to be it,” Lita started. “The place where the Pke environmental watch is held. It’s the only logical place.”
“You know,” started a disembodied voice, “I had the same idea. Let’s just hope we’re right, blue haired girl.”
Lita turned around at the sound of a male voice that seemed to be heading her way. Soon enough, a young man looking no older than her, with brown hair and a blue back pack approached from behind.
Ignoring the “blue haired girl” comment, Lita smiled. “Yes, I hope we’re in the right place. So, my name is Lita. Who might you be?”
“Heh, never mind my name blue haired girl. You much be a pokemon trainer right? I mean you have this class.”
Before Lita could answer the question presented to her, the rest of the class started to make their way towards the large gated area. Seeing this caused a smile to stretch across the young man’s face. “Hey blue haired girl, I think we were right.” He said to Lita as he met the group of students.
“Alright, before we do anything, I just want to make sure that everyone here is either: A) a pokemon trainer or B) a pokemon trainer in the making. Now, second thing I want to make sure of before we start. Does everyone have a pokemon? If you do not have a pokemon on your personal then you need to step to my right.”
Lita watched as the students who did not own a pokemon started to form a group to the right of the speaker. Instantly, an idea popped into her head about the mysterious speaker, and why he was giving out all of these instructions. “He has got to be the teacher,” She thought to herself. ”Kind of weird, seeing as he doesn’t seem a day older than myself.”
The instructor looked over both groups as he nodded in accceptance. "This is a pretty mixed group, that's good considering what I have in store." He walked back to the center of the two groups and pulled his back pack off of his back. He then proceeded to look through it, obviously in search of something. Finally, he pulled out a pair of sharpie markers and name stickers. "Next order of business, I want everyone to place their names on one of these stickers." Passing out the stickers and markers to the two groups, he waited for everyone to finish.
"Is he serious?" An annoyed Ayame frowned as she scribbled her name down on the "Hello, my name is:" sticker.
Feeling that he could, the instructor decided to talk over the students while they wrote down their names and such.
"Listen up everyone. For those of you who haven't caught on, I am the one who is in charge of this class. If any of you have ever heard of the Kanto region then you might know my family. My name is Gary Oak. Before we get any further, I want to explain what exactly this class is. Most if not all of you should know that not one single pokemon is the same. Each one has a very complex way of life. As pokemon trainers, it is important for you to be knowledgeable about every pokemon you encounter. That is why we're here. Behind me, our place of study. The safari zone if you will. Here you will learn everything there is to learn about pokemon and their natural habitats. Before we enter, there are a few key rules that everyone should remember. They are posted on the main entrance."
"Rules?" Ayame said quietly while glancing at the door leading to the safari zone. She began reading them over in her head, making sure she agreed with them all. Among the many rules, the two that stood out were that; 1. Pokemon battles are not permitted inside the safari zone amongst student trainers, and 2. Pokemon encountered inside of the safari zone are not to be captured by student trainers, unless directed to by the instructor.
Having waited on the few students yet to write their name stickers, Gary once again reached inside his bag and pulled out a box labeled "pokedex 3.2". "Before I move on, are there any questions so far?"
OOC #2: Alright, I hope this cleared up everyones questions about this class. If you're still lost, then you can ask "Gary" (aka me lol) in the rp. For everyone else, if you could work in a line somewhere in your post stating that you didn't have any questions to ask, that would be great so my next post, I can actually move the class into the safari zone.
