Ok, i've had some word in this a while back. But i'm going to set up a rather simple route, for when you are wanting to post a new Runescape News item, or Developer Blogs.
These rules will start as of 20th February 2010. All previous threads do not apply.
For Runescape News Items: Separate posts for each News Item.
For Runescape Developer Blogs: If the blog is also presented as a News Item, then a link to the blog should be provided within the post.
If the developer blog has no news item with it, then a separate thread, along with all the images that are in the blog entry.
Posting Runescape News Items
* Start New Topic/Thread
* Thread title should be "News item name - Date posted" (i.e. New quest - 28 March 2010)
* Provide a direct link to the news item (url)
* Insert quote marks with the copied title of the new item on the line below the direct link [quote=16-Feb-2010 - Familiarisation ][/quote]* Copy and past the entire news item in between the quote marks. Pictures are required; bold and hyperlinked words are optional.
* To copy and post a hyper-link:
- first right-click on the link, select "Copy Link URL" (This may be worded differently, depending on your web browser)
- Use the following code to insert in the hyperlink
[url=Insert link to page here]Insert hyperlinked words here (E.G. Knowledge Base Article)[/url]* Post Thread
If you wish to comment about the news item in your post: Comment directly under the quote marks.
Posting Runescape developer blogs
(with no news item relating to the blog) (For News items relating to the blog; do the same method of pasting as "Posting a Runescape news item" )
* Start new Topic/Thread
* Thread title should be a Developer Diary - Title - Date (i.e. Developer diary - How we work - 15th April 2010)
* Provide a the direct link (url) to the blog page
* Insert quote marks with the copied title of the developer blog on the line below the direct link [quote=A History of Non-violence
by Mod Maz 12-Feb-2010][/quote]* Copy and past the entire news item in between the quote marks. Images are required; bold and hyperlinked words are optional.
* To copy and post a hyper-link:
- first right-click on the link, select "Copy Link URL" (This may be worded differently, depending on your web browser)
- Use the following code to insert in the hyperlink

If you wish to comment about the developer blog in your post: Comment directly under the quote marks.
Posting Patch Notes
Runescape Patch Notes are other small updates that happen on a weekly basis. These generally are graphical/musical/quest glitches that appear.
To Find them, go on the Runescape Official Forums, and to the Recent Updates Board. There should be a post called "Patch Notes <<Date of Posting>>"
All you need to do is copy all of this information and paste it into a new post, using the quote function, underneath the current week's update.
If the week features more then 1 update or announcement, please post it in the week's main announcement. (The one at the top with an image/snapshot)
