Roleplaying Section's Rules *updated*
« on: February 22, 2010, 09:04:39 pm »
Yes, even this needs rules too. These are quick and easy to understand.

No Double Posting!
Absolutely no double posting is allowed. This is usually considered spam.

NO GODMODDING!
What is Godmodding, you say? In my own words, godmodding is like having an all-powerful character. A character who can do unrealistic things without limits. An example of a godmodding character is when they don't get hurt in any type of battle and is seen dodging everything. I don't want to see such characters in any roleplays.

No Use of Emotion Icons
Use words to describe the emotions, not graphics/icons.

Examples:

Kim was :) with her test score.
WRONG!

Kim was happy with her test score.
Correct!

Plot/Background
While creating a roleplay, you need to have some plot/background to what the roleplay is all about. Unless it's a plotless roleplay, which is usually never seen or heard from because some are just more for spamming. But, plots are used for how the roleplay started and what it's gonna be all about. It's also to help others understand what the roleplay is.

Character Control
Limit controlling other people's characters. You can't just control someone else's character fully. If your planning on doing something with another roleplayer's character, get permission from the roleplayer first. Like, don't make them do or say stuff they wouldn't normally do.

OOC Posts
OOC (Out Of Character) posts are allowed, but include them in your actual post. They shouldn't be too long. Just enough to tell everyone something and not spam. Usually have this at the top or very bottom of your post.

Registration Forms

When you make a roleplay, a registration form is needed. All members who want to join must fill this out with the character they created. Most of the forms contain things like:

Name: (Your character's name)
Age: (How old they are)
Gender: (Girl or Boy)
Description: (What they look like)
Personality: (Character traits. How they act, alone/with others)
History: (What happen in their life to the point of the roleplay)

More stuff in the registration form can be added, depending on the roleplay.

Obey Roleplay Rules
Some roleplays have added rules to them. You must follow those and these rules unless you want to be kicked from the roleplay or banned from the section.

I think that covers most of it. If anyone else knows of a rule I missed, PM me it and I'll take a look at it.

Happy Roleplaying, Folks!
