Joke of the Week"Sun Bathing!"
Joan, who was a rather well-proportioned secretary, spent almost all of her vacation sunbathing on the roof of her hotel. She wore a bathing suit the first day, but on the second, she decided that no one could see her way up there, and she slipped out of it for an overall tan. She'd hardly begun when she heard someone running up the stairs. She was lying on her stomach, so she just pulled a towel over her rear. "Excuse me, miss," said the flustered assistant manager of the hotel, out of breath from running up the stairs.
"The Hilton doesn't mind your sunbathing on the roof, but we would very much appreciate your wearing a bathing suit as you did yesterday." "What difference does it make?" Joan asked rather calmly. "No one can see me up here, and besides, I'm covered with a towel."
"Not exactly," said the embarrassed man.
"You're lying on the dining room skylight."
Event Review - Castle WarsA very fun event! Turnout was not as great as other events, but it was definitely a memorable one.
I was there for 3 games, and all were great fun, Saradomin 2, Zamorak 1. Sara wins
It was a mix of mainly ancient hybriders and me and aaron as range and a few amount using melle. Was great fun as long as you joined in the fun, and i'm sure danny was enjoying himself running up and down with the flag for about 5 minutes
Recent Update ReviewLast week brought out the brand new high-level slayer monsters known as the Strykewyrms. These have had mixed responses for their drop of a "black mask" equivalent (The names of them) for mage and range and for the fact they can only be killed for an assignment!
The most unique of them all, being the Ice Strykewyrms. Which (untill) recently required a fire cape to be worn in order to kill it and also drops a magic weapon equivalent to the dark bow or abysall whip; the staff of light.
The main argument was that slayer and Tok-Ek-Jad shouldn't be affiliated with it, and that some people really can't "Kill Jad".
After almost a week of arguing, Jagex compromised the update (of course, being yelled at by the previous supporters of the update) by changing it so, you could buy the ability to have the chance of getting them assigned with slayer points, and that they would have a higher max hit against you.
While those who wore the cape get a +4 Damage boost (+8 for fire spells) and are hit less often.
In my personal opinion, this allows all types of slayers to kill these beasts, for there are some who seriously do "hate" the Thzaar Fight cave or who cannot actually do it, and all it costs them is a few slayer points, which they would get back within a multiple of assignments anyway. While those with the cape have that extra bonus (mainly for those who are use melle rather then fire spells; for fire spells already do a massive amount of damage)
Random KnowledgeUsing a Giant Ent familiar while farming bushes, cactus, belladonna and fruit trees can increase your total harvest by 50%!
