How to organise an event

This board is used if you wish to organise and annouce your own event/s to the Stellar Stop Community, provided that you have a post count of 25+.

If you only wish to suggest an event, then you can do so on the sub-board.



Note: When posting in this board, be sure to post the entire event in the post. Do not provide links saying "click here to see event" or similar. You are still allowed to provide links for guides or countdowns for the event, however your thread must include the following:

  • Name of the event you are holding
  • Brief description of event (What it is, how it will work, what to bring)
  • Time and Date of event (also providing what time-zone it is for - i.e. 10+ GMT or -5 GMT)
  • Meeting Location (place and world)
  • Live countdown (see below if you do not know one)

Optional extras include:
  • Story behind the event (I.e. Role playing)
  • Time-zone converter/conversions of multiple time-zones
  • Images promoting the event (I.e. Banners/snapshots/artwork)
  • Guide of how to do the event (You can link to another person's guide, providing you give credit to them)
  • Prizes: These can be in the form of lending an item, or giving Runescape coins (Providing they do not breech any of the Official Runescape rules)



Below I have provide an example  (which is also used for our "Official Clan Events") for posting your own event. Simply copy-paste the  code into your own thread and edit where nessessary. You can format the page in any way you like; there is free use of all BBC codes and personal agenda/preferences.

There is a link for a live countdown (Using Brisbane, 10+GMT ) in that code. This code will need to be edited before posting in order to show the correct date+time (for the Brisbane time-zone)
If you wish to use your own time-zone in the countdown to make it easier, simply fill out the details in the link provided below.

Once your countdown has been created, simply copy-paste the url in a similar fashion as seen in the above code.
